Missionary Aviation Training

The Redeemed Flying Corps exists to equip men and women who feel led to missions and have a desire to serve through aviation. Our mission is to train pilots, mechanics, and aviation support personnel who will use their gifts to advance the Gospel around the world.

Our goal is to prepare candidates with the technical skills and experience needed to serve with a missionary sending organization. Through the generosity of our supporters, we strive to make this training financially attainable so missionaries can begin their ministry without carrying overwhelming educational debt.

Our Approach

The Redeemed Flying Corps is more than a flight school—it is a ministry.

Training is made possible through the faithful support of individuals, churches, businesses, and volunteers who believe in the mission of reaching the unreached through aviation. Their financial gifts, donated time, and professional expertise help reduce the overall cost of training while creating an environment centered on discipleship and service.

Our desire is to develop missionaries who are not only excellent aviators but also faithful servants of Christ.

Candidate Expectations

The Redeemed Flying Corps is a full-time training program designed to prepare you for life in missionary aviation.

When you are not participating in flight or classroom training, you will actively serve alongside our ministry team. Service opportunities may include:

  • Assisting with aircraft maintenance
  • Hangar and facility upkeep
  • Office and administrative support
  • Ministry outreach events
  • General operational responsibilities

Missionary aviation is built on partnerships through both prayer and financial support. Most missionary organizations require their missionaries to develop a team of supporters before entering the mission field.

Before beginning training at the Redeemed Flying Corps, candidates will raise their ministry support. This support provides an income during the training process and helps cover personal living expenses while they are preparing for ministry.

By establishing these partnerships before training begins, candidates are able to transition directly from the RFC to their sending organization without spending an additional one to two years raising support after completing their flight training. This allows them to begin serving on the mission field sooner and with a strong foundation of faithful prayer and financial partners.

Candidates are responsible for:

  • FAA testing fees
  • Medical certificates
  • Checkride expenses
  • A small portion of aircraft operating costs

The RFC covers the remaining training expenses through donor support.

Above all, every candidate is expected to represent Jesus Christ with integrity, humility, teachability, and a servant’s heart. Character is just as important as technical skill.

Our Commitment to Excellence

Missionary aviation continues to evolve, and so does the Redeemed Flying Corps. We are committed to continually improving our training, adopting proven methods, and preparing our candidates with the knowledge and skills needed to serve as a missionary pilot.

Our goal is not simply to help you earn certificates—it is to help prepare you for a lifetime of faithful service wherever God calls you.
