Central Flying School
The Central Flying School’s main mission is to prepare students for the airman knowledge exam and the airmen practical exam. The CFS also works with students completing their pilot certification to acquire additional skills toward their mission aviation requirements. Students are expected to complete coursework, practice exams, preflight tasks, and other tasks required by flight instructors to achieve their certification. Led by Advanced Ground Instructor Jim Collier, the Central Flying School is a vitally important part of the Redeemed Flying Corps that continues to refine, improve, and meet the ever-advancing requirements of future airmen.
Ground Training
Our Central Flying School uses course material based on FAA standards, incorporating Rod Machado books and Kings Schools online resources.
Instruction includes live classroom meetings and regular simulator training.
Flight Instruction
Students currently train in Cessna 150 aircraft. Training is based out of Shawnee Regional Airport (KSNL) and flight to other local airports.
Flight Simulator
Our state-of-the-art simulator meets FAA training standards. Students learn basics of fixed-wing flight, communication, avionics, and pattern work, resulting in a marked acceleration of their actual flight training.
